Recently I wrote an AWP “How-To” over at Real Pants—good, practical advice on how to get the most out of that massive, overwhelming conference for writers.
Until a couple weeks ago, I wasn’t even going to attend this year. It would have been my first time missing in 10 years, which is something Crash Davis would call a “dubious honor.” Then my wife, also an AWP vet, suggested we go for just Friday and Saturday, and flights were cheap, so it was decided. My streak will continue.
Publishing Genius won’t be repped at the bookfair (except at the Small Press Distribution table, where we’ll have copies of a bunch of books). However, we are teaming up with Submittable once again to throw a party. It should be a blast.
