Back in June Normal’s Books, in Baltimore, hosted an unforgettable afternoon celebrating the launch of Dreams Are My Social Life, the latest collection of poetry from colorful raconteur Rupert Wondolowski.
The book has received high praise, with The Baltimore Fishbowl describing it as “a captivating blend of opposites—relaxed yet contained, abstract yet down-to-earth, funny yet piercing.” Along with Rupert, several other stalwart contributors to the Baltimore arts community performed for an audience packed with even more amazing members of the Baltimore arts community. It was refreshing. I needed it.
And my two-year-old daughter took off all her clothes.
As Rupert pointed out, it’s ironic that a book called “Dreams Are My Social Life” is so full of poems about his friends.
Here are some videos of Rupert reading at the event. And you can buy his book here, if you haven’t already!
